WHO WE ARE

Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans, Inc. is a non-profit agency that serves over 400 homeless and at-risk veterans and their families annually. We provide them with housing, supportive services, and community outreach to achieve self-independence. Founded in 2007, by a Vietnam War veteran and a Gulf War veteran, MSHV operates on a vision to end veteran homelessness through the provision of housing, financial support, employment training, counseling and household support.

Compassionate. Responsible. Dedicated. A place to serve and grow together as a team. Our “can-do” attitude is core. Optimism and responsibility are infused in all we do to help our clients obtain goals they may have never thought possible – becoming self-sufficient. We offer caring, comprehensive support in a positive, structured military-type culture.
